Protective ingredients like DHA, plant sterols
and time-release niacin help maintain healthy lipid levels.
Higher DHA.
New reserach on the use of omega-3 fatty acids found that DHA provides
greater benefit than EPA in lipid management. Hence, Enhanced
Triplichol includes Ortho Molecular’s Orthomega Select DHA, with over
1000 mg daily of DHA omega-3 fish oil specifically supporting healthy
lipid levels.
Sterol/Fish Oil Synergy.
Researchers have demonstrated that plant sterols and omega-3 fish oil
have a synergistic physiologic effect on lipid levels. Triplichol has
therapeutic levels of both.
Divided Plant Sterols.
Research has shown that plant sterols in divided dosages have a more
significant effect on lipid management than single doses. Foods with at
least 0.65 g per serving of plant sterol esters, taken twice daily with
meals for a daily total intake of at least 1.3 g, as part of a diet low
in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.
Triplichol provides
1.3 g of plant sterol esters daily.
Time-Release Niacin.
Niacin is considered a first-line approach by nearly every panel for
maintaining healthy blood lipid levels. Our wax- coated technology
permits a virtually ideal niacin release that is complete in 6-8 hours,
reducing the common flushing effect and allowing more people to realize
the benefits of niacin.
Flavonoids like quercetin and grape seed help
maintain the health and vitality of small blood vessels.
Quercetin promotes vascular cell
function and helps decrease plasma concentrations of oxidized LDL.
Grape Seed Extract
has been linked to the heart-healthy components in red wine. Grape seed
polyphenols have been widely studied for their cardioprotective
properties.
Antioxidants help inhibit oxidation and defend
against lipid aggregation.
Resveratrol.
Shown to inhibit lipid oxidation and protect against uptake of oxidized
LDL in the vascular wall, resveratrol is widely recommended for
cardiovascular support.
Green Tea
has been found to have strong antioxidant properties and direct
scavenging activities against nitric oxide and superoxide. The
catechins in green tea have shown to inhibit oxidation and have
historically been used to promote overall health.
